Welcome (back) to mikekorcha.com! I've finally taken it upon myself to get my site back online, and now it's better than before!
Redesign
I've taken the time to make the site much less hideous (though, I still argue it was pretty). In the process, I took the time to properly learn how to use SASS. I've also let other libraries do the heavy lifting for me where I was having issues. If someone else already did it well, why should I try to copy them (except for learning purposes, of course!)?
Added Functionality
Comments now work entirely as intended. Errors are handled more beautifully. Posts themselves are now written in Markdown (not some horrible markup that I made which works pretty poorly).
Along with that, I've updated to Laravel 4 and moved to a much faster and more reliable VPS. It's much easier to fix things when your server isn't randomly going down for days.

My about me page now shows more information about me that might be considered useful: links to social-ish sites, technological competence, and goals. I've also updated my page about my internships, you should really check it out.
More to Come!
Along with all of this, I'll actually try to release tutorials, interesting things, and so on. Keeping a log of my own development isn't just helpful to me; if I share what I learn and methods I've used, it works out well for everyone.
